of High Frequency Surface
Wave Radar (HFSWR) systems and associated System Operating Centres
(SOC's). Daronmont was the first Company in the world to receive a
contract for the supply, installation, set-to-work and maintenance
of an operational HFSWR system, called SECAR. Since HFSWR technology
has recently emerged as a highly effective wide area coastal surveillance
asset, one of the major aims of this contract is to assist Defence
Department and Customs Coast watch personnel develop a new operational
surveillance doctrine. The Canadian Department of National Defence
has a current requirement for multiple systems of this type.
